GrandValli - Ribs and RnB: Maybe?

So, I went to an RnB and Ribs event, and it didn’t hit me to host one until I was about to leave the event. It was my first time at something like that, and the vibe was amazing. Everyone was dressed however they felt made them feel good. The fashion was diverse, the music was great, and the energy was contagious.

I want more events like that to be accessible because I want more people to feel there are opportunities to truly enjoy themselves and dress in a way that is authentic to them without feeling like they need to fit in, and without having to sacrifice by forcing themselves to have fun in a packed bar with sticky floors and the same old crowd.

Imagine you go to an event where you see old friends, grab great food, have some DJs playing all the best sing-along and dance-along songs, and you dress how you feel without feeling like you have to be like everyone else or that you have to fit in. In fact, looking different is welcomed. Your unique style is welcomed. Isn’t that such a great time?

That is the environment I want to create. We need more environments like that where people can just gather and enjoy.

I just think this would be a great event for GrandValli to put on. If we are committed to creating opportunities and not waiting on permission or validation, then why can’t we create something like this?

Rework the Foot Work

One of the most overlooked body parts, I think, are the feet. We use and abuse them every day. We wear shoes that hurt. We stay on them when the pain is kicking in, and we do very little to rehab them
