When Waiting for The Big Swing

Man, I don't care what anyone says, it is hard to deal with the feeling that you just need one moment to change everything, and you are wondering when it will hit.

You keep doing the small things, and you are being consistent, and yet you still fail to see the results or the progress that you have been hoping for. It is hard to keep moving and grooving and still not see the drastic change.

If that happens to you, what do you do?

That is a question I ask myself all the time. How do you not doomscroll or find meaningless or unintentional ways to pass the time or work through that feeling when nothing you seem to do, that you know you should be doing, is changing much of anything? Momentum is such an invisible thing. It's like air. You can feel it and breathe it, but you can't see it, and you can't tell how strong it is until you feel it.

I haven't quite found out what to do when you have done all the consistent things you already committed to do and you have free time. I guess you relax, and perhaps that is the thing I need to work on, being able to be still.

Can you be still? Do you struggle with being still? What do you do?

I guess perhaps the only thing we can do is do one other small thing that benefits us and keeps building the momentum, and then intentionally spend the rest of the time doing something that is fulfilling. Perhaps that is where hobbies come in, and it's time we all rediscover what our hobbies are.
