Hitting the Accelerator

I have mentioned in previous writing how I have become interested in the idea of reducing the time between idea and execution.

As someone who used to be an overthinker and struggle with analysis paralysis, the time between idea and execution for me was either long or quick based on some moment of inspiration or motivation, which did not sustain, as I have struggled with finishing things I start. However, taking on the challenge of reducing my lag time, I have noticed a renewed energy and inspiration, and also a relief and freedom in my mental load, energy, and cognition. Now, that doesn't mean that I don't take the time to evaluate and gather information or still struggle sometimes with making a decision or doing the thing, but now at least I try to be intentional. The moment I start to overthink, I try to act immediately, solely based on what I already know and the information I have at hand.

I say all this to say that while I am nervous about the RnB event I am planning, the name is unofficial, I am committed to seeing it through and acting based on 60% of the information I have and trying to make decisions as quickly as I can, considering some decisions naturally deserve more time than others.

What does this mean for you as the reader?

The event is happening. While we still have to work out some details, you can go ahead and RSVP and help us finalize the details, as your RSVP provides information we need to make a reasonably informed decision.

In other words, we are hitting the accelerator and seeing this event through, and we want you to join us. This is our first time doing this, so help us do this and improve and make this potentially something that can happen again.
