Have you ever walked past a local coffee shop, boutique, or artist’s studio and thought, Wow, more people need to know about this? Or maybe you have a friend tirelessly building their own business, and you wonder why they don’t get the recognition they deserve? Or have a friend who keeps talking about they want to create something but has no inspiration?
That’s exactly why we created GrandValli.
In our last post, our founder, Salina Edwards, shared why she started GrandValli. But today, we want to focus on what it does—why it matters and how it’s evolving into something bigger than just an idea.
A Movement and A Thriving Hub for Collaboration
GrandValli isn’t just about showcasing small businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives. We aim to be a thriving hub—a movement that highlights the skills, opportunities, and talents within communities while creating new avenues for collaboration, connection, and shared experiences.
At our core, we’re about celebrating the people and brands that make up our everyday lives—the businesses we walk past, the creatives we admire, and the entrepreneurs grinding behind the scenes.
Bringing Local Stories to the Spotlight
Think about it: don’t you know someone building something incredible who deserves more recognition? A friend? A neighbor? Maybe even yourself?
In every town and city, small businesses bring energy, passion, and stories that shape communities. But too often, these stories get overshadowed by bigger brands with massive followings. I mean your social media feed; how many times do you see small businesses in your community or just smaller businesses in general?
We’re here to change that.
GrandValli is on a mission to showcase the success stories happening in your own backyard—not just the ones trending on social media. Imagine Etsy had a creative hub or media company and told the stories of the businesses that exist on their platform? That is what we aim to do.
Building a National Network of Small Businesses
Right now, we’re starting in Grand Junction, CO, but we’re thinking big. Our vision is to take small businesses national, fostering collaborations across cities and states.
Imagine a World Where:
A local baker in Colorado partners with a coffee roaster in Alaska, creating the perfect cross-country collaboration.
A boutique in New York features handcrafted jewelry from a Texas artisan, bringing unique, small-batch pieces to a broader audience.
Small businesses everywhere gain the visibility and support they deserve, reaching customers beyond their immediate communities.
And as a Supporter, You Get to:
Connect with these brands through music at a carefully curated event.
Explore local businesses in a new way—whether you're a visitor or a resident—through an interactive, community-driven map.
Experience pop-up collaborations where local artists, chefs, and entrepreneurs join forces to create unforgettable moments.
This is the future we’re building—a world where small businesses don’t just survive but thrive through meaningful connections, creative partnerships, and community-driven experiences.

Join the Movement
We’re not waiting for bigger brands to validate what we already know—small businesses matter. And they deserve a platform that puts them front and center.
Here’s how you can be part of it:
Follow GrandValli for inspiring small business stories.
Tag a small business you love so we can spotlight them.
Reach out if you’re an entrepreneur, creative, or brand looking to collaborate.
"I believe there is so much opportunity for small brands to tell their story in different ways, collaborate, and grow together. After all, the bigger brands do it—and they were small once. Why can’t we do something similar? Why not promote and support small businesses in a way that helps them stay connected with their audience in a more authentic and meaningful way?"— Salina Edwards, GrandValli Founder
Let’s create something bigger together.
