A Thought On Creating Luck

How do we create luck?
Can we create our own luck?
Can we increase how lucky we are?
Are some people truly luckier than others?
I am not a luck expert, but lately I have been thinking more about luck. What is luck? If you Google it, you will see that apparently, potentially, it is the phenomenon of events occurring by chance or happenstance that positively or negatively affect a person.
I like to think that each of us comes into this world with a certain level of luck, or privilege, if you want to call it that. Basically, for me, I think it is the elements, environments, and circumstances we find ourselves in that are out of our control, like where we are born, who our parents are, etc.
Then there is luck that we can create based on what we decide to think and do. So yes, I believe we can create our own luck, and at some point, some people may be luckier than others earlier in life. However, since I believe we can create our own luck, I believe that as you get older and are able to make your own decisions, you are able to increase your luck.
How, you may ask?
One way that I have heard that has stuck with me is increasing your surface area of luck by increasing the chances that something great or an opportunity will find you. To me, that basically means trying new things, applying for the job, meeting new people, and going to the event you dread.
It does not mean abandoning yourself for other people or things, or chasing anything, but it does mean putting yourself out there.
